- Suicide is the second leading cause of death among youth ages 10 - 24.(CDC).

- Every 11 minutes, someone in the U.S. dies by suicide.
- More teens die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, and AIDS combined.

-One in 5 teens have seriously considered suicide in the past year and nearly 9% attemtpted suicide (CDC YRBS, 2023)

-Suicide rates amongst black youth are rising at alarming levels - especially among black boys ages 10 - 14, who face some of the fastest-growing rates in the nation.

-LGBTQ+ youth are four times more likely to attempt suicide than their peers due to stigma and discrimination.

-Rates of depression, anxiety, and substance use continue to rise.
