Dare To Live is a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
Born from the lived experience of our founder, Dare To Live was inspired by one powerful truth — healing lasts when therapy, peer understanding, and community connection come together. Founded in North Texas, we respond to the growing crisis among young people who leave treatment but still struggle in silence. We bridge that gap by creating spaces of belonging and hope — where youth can talk, create, and heal side by side with peers and professionals who truly understand. This is where recovery becomes community, and where every young person is reminded: you are not alone.

Through our Flagship Hub, school clubs, and peer-led programs, Dare To Live connects youth to real support networks that extend far beyond crisis care.
We train
peer listeners, partner with college psychology students and licensed counselors, and host events that bring hope and healing into everyday life. From group circles to creative arts, from “Breaking Bread” community lunches to mental health trivia nights, we make recovery a shared experience — not a solitary one..
Mission

Dare To Live exists to break the cycle of youth suicide by transforming how young people experience recovery, connection, and community. We bridge the gap between professional therapy and everyday life through a unique, evidence-informed model that combines clinical support, peer relatability, and community engagement.

Our mission is to ensure that every young person — regardless of background, race, or income — has access to safe spaces, trained peers, and trusted professionals who walk beside them through healing. By integrating compassion with education and creativity, we empower youth to replace isolation with belonging, silence with understanding, and pain with purpose.

VISION

We envision a future where mental health care is not just treatment, but connection. A future where schools, universities, and communities work hand in hand to support young people long after crisis intervention — preventing relapse and building resilience for life.

In this world, no young person is left to struggle alone. They are met with open hearts, trained listeners, and communities equipped to nurture emotional wellness.

Dare To Live seeks to lead this movement — creating a nationwide network of peer-driven, professionally supported programs that redefine suicide prevention as a shared responsibility of hope, courage, and compassion.
