Faith Leaders and Community Leaders play a vital role in expanding Dare To Live’s
reach and impact. They help connect the program to underserved communities,
provide trusted safe spaces for youth, and advocate for mental health awareness
and suicide prevention. Their involvement ensures that youth can access culturally
relevant, community-based support beyond the school environment.
• Host Dare To Live events in churches, mosques, temples, and community centers.
• Provide safe, welcoming spaces where youth feel supported and included.
• Promote Dare To Live’s mission to families and congregations.
Mentorship & Guidance
• Serve as mentors and role models for youth, offering encouragement and life
guidance.
• Support youth in addressing stigma around mental health in faith and community
settings.
• Encourage parents and caregivers to engage in open dialogue about youth
struggles.
Collaboration & Advocacy
• Partner with Dare To Live, schools, and local organizations to reach underserved
populations.
• Advocate for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, immigrant, and homeless youth who face additional
barriers.
• Help build trust between families, communities, and Dare To Live programs.
Event Participation & Support
• Participate in mental health awareness campaigns, resource fairs, and youth
summits.
• Invite healthcare providers and mental health professionals to speak at
faith/community events.
• Assist with fundraising, donation drives, or volunteer recruitment.
- Flexible, event-based participation.
- Hosting or supporting at least one Dare To Live outreach event per semester.
- Occasional meetings with Dare To Live staff and community partners to coordinate
initiatives.
